Bras Bras Bras
According to January search volumes, a staggering 16,000,000 plus online searches were conducted for the word “bra“. As an online lingerie store, this is something to get excited about.
Many people searched on phrases related to bra sizing, and the many different types of bras, including strapless bras, push up bras, underwire bras, bra straps, maternity bras, sports bras and many more.
Top brand searches were for the Triumph bra and the Playtex bra. Bras and things appeared to be the most popular searched for a retail outlet.
Sassy Lingerie has a store in the Perth suburb of Applecross and deliveres all types of Bra’s Australia wide.
Lingerie, Women's interest, fashion and clothing | Comment (0)Australia swimwear hits the jackpot for larger busted women
Larger busted ladies – relax. It seems that Perth swimwear retailer, Viva Swim, has hit the jackpot when it comes to designing swimwear for women with ample assets.
And no – there’s nothing ‘orthopaedic’ about this swimwear – it’s stylish, funky, fun, fashionable and fabulous – but it ALSO gives support, comfort and coverage in all the right places. Swimwear for the larger busted woman is often at the back of the rack (if it’s there at all), matronly and serviceable – not a good look for the beach, the pool or just for feeling good about yourself. This swimwear is designed like a bra – proper wire support, straps etc. and then there’s the very clever idea of a swim top over that (a ruched top, halter top with a good cleavage reveal, tankini, cross over top)…LOTS of choices, and all with a matching swim pant, also with great detailing.
It’s also chlorine-resistant swimwear, so the fabric gives great support and lasts for ages without drooping, sagging or fading. The colours are great too, and because the styles can be mixed and matched, there’s the option of a patterned top with a solid colour on the bottom (great for minimising a larger bust). It’s all on the website, so you can browse through from the comfort of your own home and make an informed choice.
The swimwear has been designed with real women in mind – not waifs – and takes cognisance of how to optimise women’s good bits and play down the ‘not-so-good’ bits. It’s great swimwear, Perth designed and manufactured, and has given thousands of women the confidence to strut their stuff on the beach and around the pool.

When I cleaned up my computer a while ago, I saw that my partner had been visiting a few lingerie websites and I was a bit taken aback. Not that I minded, it was just that he hadn’t said anything and so I didn’t want to make something out of nothing, so I just left it. Let sleeping dogs lie, as they say. Anyway, time went on and life went on – with one of the highlights being a weekend away in celebration of our wedding anniversary.
We went to the most gorgeous place, very peaceful and romantic and it was wonderful to spend quality time together. In conversation, we were chatting about what we thought made our relationship special, and one of the things that we agreed was a strong point was our ability to keep things spicy and interesting. It was only later that evening when he gave me a beautifully wrapped giftbox, in which was the most stunning set of new lingerie that I realised what he’d been up to! Talk about keeping things interesting !
Anyway, I discovered that he had been shopping online for this lingerie as he wouldn’t be seen dead in an actual lingerie store – and he’d been able to find the perfect gift without having to lift a finger – actually, that was ALL he had to do! It was so gorgeous, lots of lace, ribbon and satin and it made me feel very special. Now I’m just looking forward to Valentine’s Day, because I’ve got my eye on some special lingerie which will be just PERFECT for that most romantic of days!

I can’t resist this chlorine-resistant swimwear
If you’re looking for swimwear that nips and tucks in all the right places – look no further than Viva Swimwear. They’re basically an online retailer of swimwear and chlorine-resistant swimwear that caters for women of all shapes and sizes (plus they do men and kids too !).
Now there’s nothing orthopaedic about their cossies – they are simply stunning, fashionable styles in beautiful colours and fabrics. They’ve got all the latest styles, including new styles in the chlorine-resistant swimwear range too. One pieces, tankinis, three-pieces, racer backs etc. plus beautiful cover-ups and wraps to complete the look.
The lady who started the business did so because she couldn’t find modern swimwear that fitted and flattered, so she decided to design her own cossie. Her friends loved it so much, placed their orders and she decided to go into manufacturing herself. The results speak for themselves.
Viva Swimwear is now a major swimwear retailer in Perth, with two outlets and a big online ‘shop’ with an amazing range. They’ve supplied TV shows like The Biggest Loser and made rashies etc. for the Margaret River Pro Series. They also do lots of school orders for chlorine-resistant swimwear. Check out the website – it’s really easy to choose, size and order – and you’ll be turning heads on the beach by the weekend !

I wish my kids were young again…just for the baby shoes !
Kids have it so good these days ! And no, I’m not complaining about it, I am just green with ENVY ! The gadgets, the clothes… and as for the shoes ! I’ve been doing a bit of work for an amazing US children’s shoe manufacturer who has just launched a website for their Aussie and Kiwi customers, and I cannot believe the huge of stunning children’s shoes out there. I’m actually feeling a bit sorry for my kids, because all they had when they were tiny were knitted booties from Nanna ! No offence gran, but I am feeling a bit sad that none of this funky, fun stuff that See Kai Run produces was around then… in the olden-days as my boys would say ! And, unlike the killer heels and platforms of today that look fantastic but don’t feel so good ..these cool baby shoes are actually really good for developing feet. Bring on the grandchildren ! Actually, let’s take that back, I’m not ready for that just yet, in the meantime, I’ll just have to dream about gorgeous baby shoes !

I don’t know whether you’ve seen those cute little shoes that all the celeb kids wear? Anyway, they’re called See Kai Run shoes and all the kids of celebs like Angelina, Julie Roberts, Nicole Ritchie and Jen Garner wear them. Basically they’ve only been available in the States… that is, until now, because See Kai Run now has its very own website for Aussie and NZ, so all that amazing funky footwear is on tap, right here. You know, every parent wants the best for their kids – we want them to look special, individual with their own style but we also know we have to do the right thing when it comes to health etc. That’s why these children’s shoes are in a league of their own, because they are really fun and funky but they’re also medically proven to be good for babies and kids’ growing feet. Reach for the stars, little people !

Shopping should be fun, but let’s be honest, looking for new swimwear is probably the most disheartening experience ever. Those bright lights, funny mirrors and my pale skin is enough to send me to therapy. And I know I’ve made mistakes – lots of them, and they’ve cost me money and confidence, but I think I’ve finally found the answer !
I’ve been doing a bit of research for one of our clients, Viva Swimwear, and I’ve learnt a huge amount about fabrics and the benefits of wearing chlorine-resistant swimwear. I’d never really cared about what my bathers were made of, as long as I was happy with the look of it (well, as happy as I could be with my shape !).. but what I didn’t realise was that the fabric is really, really important. The chlorine-resistant swimwear basically keeps its shape and colour if even you’re doing heaps of training, so you don’t get that saggy look – which is why we’re in the pool in the first place, right ? Viva Swimwear does a great range of all types of chlorine-resistant swimwear and other fabrics too, and best of all, if you can’t face the mirror in one of their Perth shops, you can always order online from the safety of your own home thanks to Perth web design crew GTP!
Swimwear, fashion and clothing | Comment (0)Researching articles introduced me to a treasure-trove for cotton sleepwear
I’ve just finished writing a couple of articles for our client, Midsummernight’s Dream, which is the most amazing sleepwear retailer in Perth, Australia, mainly selling cotton nighties and pyjamas for women, but they also have a fantastic range of kids’ pyjamas too. My articles are entitled “Does your sleepwear give you nightmares?” and “Get kids to sleep their way to good health” – and although that sounds a bit serious, let me tell you, they are serious about making beautiful stuff.
Their sleepwear is made from pure cotton which comes from India and it’s all designed to be ultra comfy and extra beautiful. It’s got the most intricate hand embroidery, on beautiful white and floral cotton, with lace detailing etc etc.
And although it looks great on their website, I saw the sleepwear for myself when I popped into their shop in Claremont to get some inspiration for my articles. Their stuff is stunning. And the lady who owns the shop, Liz Collins, told me all about the benefits of cotton sleepwear, how it is hypoallergenic, easy to wash etc. and how people all over the world order nighties and pyjamas via the website. She started the business 10 years ago and she still manages to bring out new styles and new cottons twice a year. Now that’s impressive. I didn’t think there was such a market for sleepwear. Wish I’d thought of that 10 years ago !
